Jos is born into the showjumping world, with a father who comepted at an Olympics level and his mother also being an active showjumper . A very important influence in his carreer is Harrie Smolders who always supported and helped him. Jos jumped his first Senior Europeans at the age of 17 and did several championships since, including Herning World Championships in 2022.
