For us at Sport e Salute, Piazza di Siena lasts all year round, because this wonderful event held at the Villa Borghese is more than just the show jumping competition that has marked the history of equestrian sports. Piazza di Siena is a winning and replicable model, a major international event that is innovative, sustainable and a driving force for tourism, the economy and the growth of sports. It is a testament to the extent to which collaboration and teamwork can lead to results for the common good. Together with FISE and in collaboration with the city's institutions, we have embarked on a journey that has brought benefits and opportunities in terms of recovering degraded areas - as in the case of the Galoppatoio restored to its former glory - restoring sculptures, caring for green spaces, raising awareness of biodiversity, art exhibitions, and much more. That's why Piazza di Siena is a unique event in an emblematic place of beauty and opportunities for socializing, sport, culture and lifestyle.
Now I’m starting to realize what has happened. I actually feel a little exhausted because the emotions were incredibly intense. This is the place I used to come to when I was a child. It was here that I saw horses jumping for the very first time, thanks to my uncle, who brought me here. (...)
Today, Uliano also did a fantastic job for me. Before the class, I told him, ‘I really like this course.’ My horse was then absolutely outstanding. All the credit goes to him. I think he has competed in five Grand Prix and won four of them. He is an exceptional horse, and my job is simply to keep taking the best possible care of him.
