Very talented porfessionnal jumping rider, mark was born in Dublin and was always very proud to represent his country at the highest level of the sport. He grew up with 'horse people", with a father who was an international show jumper and a mother who competed in eventing, it was only natural that Mark should turn to show jumping at the age of 12 and already won the team bronze medal at the European Pony Championships in 2005. He also represented Ireland at the 2004 European Junior Championships in Villamoura, Portugal. Then Mark moved to a few stables around Europe to learn from the best, first in Italy, then in France to launch his own stables “La Tuilière Competition” with his partner Charlotte Mordasini, a member of the Swedish Jumping team. In 2017, after two years building up his stakes for the top level, he is back in the top 80 of the World Rankings, as well as in the Irish national team for the Nations Cups and reached the Top 30 in 2022. At the end of 2023, he finished 2nd in the Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva, one of the finest performances of his career.
