Until he was 10, Bas was not or hardly interested in horses or ponies, he only started really in 2008. In 2010, he wanted to start competed in Show Jumping and then at the age of 12, Bas started riding Vesther a bit and shortly afterwards he started with horses. In the following summer he made the definitive switch to horses. Bas is Brabant and Dutch champion, has participated in Jumping Amsterdam, Indoor Brabant and several International competitions up to and including CSI 4 *.
