Denis is a show jumping rider representing Ireland at the highest of the Sport. He grew up in Ireland, where his grandfather taught him to ride as a young boy. Surprisingly Denis started with racehorses and wanted to be a steeplechase jockey. Unfortunately, his build was not compatible with this ambition ! He decided to focus on Show Jumping and he clinched his first major victory at the 2006 Samsung Super League Nations Cup in Falsterbo, Sweden. This win marked the beginning of his rise in the competitive show jumping circuit. He has a very impressive record with an endless prize list and is a very strong member of the Irish team.
