Sandra is an eventing rider and lives in Ganderkesee where she and her parents own a horse farm. In 2012, she reprented Germany in the London Olympics in where she won a team gold medal and an individual silver medal with Opgun Louvo. In 2014, she won gold medals in the World Equestrian Games both individually and with the German team. She is also a top level show jumping rider and rides at the highest level of the sport.
