Richard Vogel sets the tone for Rolex Finale Week in Wellington

Fresh from his victory at The Dutch Masters, World No. 4 Richard Vogel (GER) continued his winning streak at Wellington International, kicking off Rolex Finale Week in style. Riding the talented 9-year-old Michael Jackson W, the reigning European Champion claimed top honours in the Dodd Technologies CSI5* class.

The class marked the opening of the final week of the 2026 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), Rolex Series event, a 12-week circuit in Wellington, Florida, featuring four five-star competitions and attracting the world’s leading riders and horses.

Over a two-phase course designed by Guilherme Jorge (BRA), Vogel delivered a smooth and efficient round aboard his Dutch-bred gelding (Diament de Semilly x Heartbreaker), owned by Pegase Equestrian BV. In a closely contested competition, the margins were minimal at the top of the leaderboard.

France’s Julian Anquetin finished just behind in second place with a time of 33.92 seconds aboard Beau de Laubry Z, while Canada’s Kyle Timm secured third in 33.95 seconds with Glamour du Chanu. Vogel ultimately set the winning benchmark at 33.60 seconds.
