Abdullah Alsharbatly is considered one of the greatest riders in the history of Saudi Arabia. Competing at the highest level for more than twenty years, he has played a major role in the development of show jumping in his country through his performances at championships and major international competitions.
His greatest achievement remains the individual silver medal at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games with Seldana di Campalto. He became the first Saudi rider to stand on an individual podium at a world championship, marking a historic result for his country. Two years later, he competed at the 2012 Olympic Games, where he won the team bronze medal for Saudi Arabia alongside Ramzy Al Duhami, Kamal Bahamdan, and Prince Abdullah Al Saud.
Throughout his career, Abdullah Alsharbatly has also won several medals at the Asian Games, including individual and team gold at the 2010 Asian Games, as well as team gold at the 2014 Asian Games. He has represented his country at numerous Olympic Games, World Equestrian Games, and World Championships, establishing himself as a key leader of the Saudi national team.
On the international circuit, he has claimed multiple CSI5* Grand Prix victories and major rankings with horses such as Quincy 194, Tobalio, Boeckmanns Lord Pezi Junior, and Dancing Wolf O.L. He has delivered strong performances at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Doha, Paris, Madrid, Rome, and Calgary.
