Emil Jönsson represents the rising generation of Swedish show jumping talent. Despite his young age, he has already gained significant international experience in the youth categories and is gradually making the transition to senior-level competition.
He first attracted attention in the junior and young rider ranks through appearances at major international youth events. In 2021, he notably represented Sweden at the Young Rider European Championships 2021 with Be Special, finishing 52nd individually and helping Sweden secure 7th place in the team competition.
His first leading horse on the international stage was Be Special, a stallion with whom he achieved several notable results. The pair notably won a class at the CSIO Children/Junior Samorin 2021.
In recent seasons, Emil Jönsson has continued his progression with Conrad, a gelding with whom he competes in classes up to 1.45 m level. In 2025, he notably took part in the Young Rider Nations Cup Final in Lier. He continues to build his experience on the European circuit through CSI2* competitions and events reserved for young riders.
