Gabriel de Matos Machado has established himself on the international circuit, splitting his career between Europe and North America. He competes with horses such as Adele Z, Commander Hk Z, Nyles van de Mottelhoeve, and Legaland Sandro.
It was with Legaland Sandro that Gabriel reached an important milestone in his career. In February 2024, at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, he won the Dodd Technologies CSI5* 1.45 m class, finishing ahead of Jad Dana and McLain Ward. The pair then confirmed their competitiveness in North America. In 2025, Gabriel notably claimed victory at the CSI3* of HITS Hudson Valley, winning the CSI3* Jumper Classic over 1.45 m with Livingstone van het Peggershof. The gelding had joined his stable just two months earlier and won his first major week of competition with Gabriel.
The 2026 season has confirmed this consistency. Gabriel continues to compete at CSI4* and CSI5* level, notably with Legaland Sandro, and continues to record victories on the North American circuit. In June 2026, he notably claimed a victory at Spruce Meadows.
