Ibrahim Hani Bisharat

Ibrahim Hani Bisharat is widely regarded as one of the greatest riders in the history of Jordanian equestrian sport. Born into a family with a deep passion for horses, he is the son of Hani Bisharat, a former international rider and founder of the Arabian Horse Club in Jordan. In 2006, he moved to Belgium to be closer to the heart of European show jumping and trained under Dutch World Champion Jos Lansink. Today, he runs Bisharat Stables in Essen.

He has represented Jordan at four Olympic Games—2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics, and 2020 Summer Olympics—becoming the first Jordanian rider to compete at four Olympic Games. This remarkable longevity has made him a leading figure in Middle Eastern show jumping.

Among his greatest achievements are a 23rd-place finish at the 2018 Jumping World Cup Final with Chactino, as well as a participation at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games later that year. He has also enjoyed consistent success on the CSI5* circuit, earning numerous placings in Grand Prix and 1.60 m classes with horses such as Chactino, Blushing, Happyness, and, more recently, Lesther.

Throughout his career, Ibrahim Hani Bisharat has won several major international classes. Among his recent highlights is a victory in a CSI3* 1.45 m class in Doha in 2023. He continues to compete regularly in CSI4* and CSI5* events across Europe and the Middle East while also developing young horses at his Belgian stable.
