Jerome Guery is a Belgian professional show jumping rider
He took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro with the horse Grand Cru van de Rozenberg.
In 2019, he became European team champion in Rotterdam riding Quel Homme de Hus, who has been his lead horse for the past few months. This title also gave Belgium an Olympic qualification. In 2021, he took part in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, still riding Quel Homme de Hus, and won the team bronze medal .
This was the first Olympic medal for Belgian equestrian sports since the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games. He and his wife Patricia run Ecurie Guery in Sart-Dames-Avelines, Belgium. The pair coach riders, and train and trade horses for jumping. "I took a different path to a lot of others. Most riders ride for stables or owners but I always wanted 'my place'. I always try to own my horses, at least in part."
