Malin Baryard-Johnsson made her mark from the very beginning—winning the Swedish National Championship at just 14, followed by team silver medals at the European Young Riders Championships in 1994 and 1995. She has represented Sweden at four Olympic Games: Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 (team silver), and Tokyo 2020, where she helped secure team gold.
At the 2003 World Cup Final, she placed third aboard the iconic Butterfly Flip, with whom she formed one of the sport’s top combinations, earning the title of best rider-horse duo worldwide that year. She also contributed to team silver at the 2002 World Championships and 2001 European Championships.
With nine World Cup Finals, four European Championships, four Olympic Games, and four World Championships to her name, Malin Baryard-Johnsson stands as one of the most accomplished and enduring figures in international show jumping.
