Olivier is based in Belgium, at Stal Philippaerts, Oudsbergen. Son of top Belgian showjumper Ludo Philippaerts, he and his twin brother Olivier have been competing in the pony, junior and young rider circuits since childhood. At the age of 18, he won his first 5* Grand Prix, and went on to represent the Belgian team in several major championships. In 2023, Nicola won the Rolex Grand Prix de La Baule with his excellent Katanga.
