Nicolas has represented Mexico at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, KY, United States of America. He and his wife Rocio run Cuadra Macaria. His grandmother initially set up the facility as a horse breeding farm. In 2022 he relocated his business from the facilities of the Mexican Defence Ministry in Mexico City to his own farm between Mexico City and Toluca.
