Philippe Léoni is a French show jumping rider but also an accomplished businessman, born October 2, 1959 in Aix-en-Provence. He started riding at the age of 13 through equestrian tourism before competing in eventing and moving towards show jumping under the guidance of his trainer, Gilles Bertrán de Balanda. Despite a break in his sporting career, Philippe remained very active on the international scene, notably participating in 2 World Cup finals in 2005 and 2006.
