Coming from a family deeply rooted in equestrian sport, Richard Vogel began riding at the age of four and claimed his first international title in 2010 by winning the Junior European Championship in Malmö.
He spent two and a half years training under German legend Ludger Beerbaum, where he developed a disciplined and strategic approach to competition. In 2020, he made a significant breakthrough on the international circuit, securing several Grand Prix victories and confirming his strong potential at the highest level.
Among his top horses is United Touch S, with whom he won the Rolex Grand Prix at the CHI Geneva, as well as Cepano Baloubet, his partner in numerous top-level performances, including standout results at the CHIO Aachen. In 2023, he played a key role in Germany’s victory at the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona.
In 2024, Vogel was selected to represent Germany at the Paris Olympic Games. At just 28 years old, he has already built an impressive résumé on the global stage.
The 2025 season further underlined his status among the sport’s elite. Richard claimed multiple victories, notably at Spruce Meadows and Dinard, and, most significantly, was crowned European Champion with United Touch S in La Coruña, while also securing team bronze. He concluded the 2025 season with another podium finish, placing third with Cloudio in the IJRC Top 10 Final at the CHI Geneva.
