Sanne Thijssen grew up in a showjumping family, discovering her passion at just seven years old alongside her father Leon, a former international rider himself. She launched her international career at 15 and quickly made headlines, becoming the youngest-ever winner of the Eindhoven Derby in 2016 and helping the Netherlands clinch the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona that same year.
Riding Con Quidam RB, she won the Grand Prix in Madrid in 2022 and secured team silver at the World Championships in Herning. In 2023, she claimed victory in the CSI5* Grand Prix of Valkenswaard, and in March 2025, she delivered a standout double clear in the CSI5* Speed Challenge in Doha, clocking an exceptional 67.48 seconds.
Combining deep family roots with a sharp competitive instinct, Sanne Thijssen continues to rise as one of international showjumping’s brightest talents.
