An individual Olympic champion in Tokyo, Ben is a competitor at heart, as discreet as he is perfectionist. He started riding at the age of 8, at a riding school where he took part in local competitions. He went on to represent the UK in Junior and Young Rider pony classes, winning the European Championships in 2004. Ben was the first British show jumper to be ranked number 1 in the world, and was made a MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2013. Accustomed to big events and the blue jacket, he has already competed in 4 Olympiads, winning 1 gold and 2 bronze team medals, as well as 2 individual silver medals in the European Championships. He also won the Grand Prix 5* Rolex at the last Brussels Stephex Masters.
