With two parents who were trainers, Darragh Kenny quickly established himself in show jumping. He then worked with Missy Clark and John Brennan in the United States for many years, taking part in a World Cup final in 2010. Founder of Oakland Stables, based in the United States, Wellington and the Netherlands, the Irishman can now count on Classic Dream, now ridden by Christian Ahlmann. Darragh Kenny has also ridden for Ann Thompson, who entrusted him with the brilliant Balou du Reventon. In 2019, Darragh Kenny exploded onto the scene with a string of outstanding performances. His double clear round was decisive in securing Ireland's Olympic ticket to Tokyo. In December, the Irishman took part in his first Rolex Top 10 final, where he finished third on the podium. Eighth in the world rankings in January 2020, he now holds the highest ranking ever achieved by an Irish rider in the world rankings.
