After Karl Cook's victory at the CSIO Roma Piazza Di Siena, Kent Farrington was next in line to win at the Jumping International de La Baule – Officiel de France. All eyes are now set on Jumping International de Dinard, the next stage of the Rolex Series.
As one of the favorite shows for equestrian sports enthusiasts, the Jumping International de Dinard is an international 5* show jumping competition. For four consecutive days, the Val Porée site will be buzzing with excitement, as the high-end event attracts more and more exceptional riders every year.
With a total prize fund of €850,000 and some 30 nations expected to participate with a total of 170 riders and 350 horses, the event is set to be extremely competitive.
From Thursday to Saturday, CSI 5* riders and their horses will be able to get used to the terrain and courses designed by Jean-François Morand, in preparation for the Grand Prix.
On Sunday July 20 at 2.45pm, the world's best riders will compete in the Rolex Grand Prix Ville de Dinard, looking to beat the Austrian rider Max Kühner, last year's winner with Elektric Blue P.
He is back this year and he hopes to keep his title, but the competition will be fierce as some of the world's best riders are rehearsing before the big sporting event at the end of July. Henrik Von Eckermann, number 1 in the world rankings, Steve Guerdat (4th), the "flying Frenchman" Julien Épaillard (5th), and two times winner of the Rolex Grand Prix Ville de Dinard, Martin Fuchs (8th) really don’t want to let it go at this point.
On the French side, Roger-Yves Bost, François-Xavier Boudant, Kevin Staut, Philippe Rozier, and Jeanne Sadran, in very good shape after her first win at the CSI5* Grand Prix in Paris, will be aiming to deliver France with their first Rolex Grand Prix victory of the year. This event is the highlight of the 4-day competition, part of the Rolex Series. Nicolas Delmotte will return this year, aiming to repeat his victory from seven years ago.
The Jumping International de Dinard will be one of the last opportunities to see those who will make us cheer this summer in the Parc du Château de Versailles.
Max Kühner, winner of the Rolex Grand Prix in 2023 with Elektrik Blue P
It was my second victory in a Rolex Grand Prix, but my first in Dinard. I met Elektric Blue when he was almost three, I saw him free jumping, fell in love at first sight, and we've been training together ever since - I adore him. As for the terrain, it all depends on the horse. If the horse likes grass, for me it's the best surface to ride on. At home, we have a grass ring to prepare ourselves.
Every year the Jumping International de Dinard is all decked out in its emblematic color. It will be that way this year too. We hope that Dinard will give the world's best riders an opportunity to shine and dream. We're convinced that the audience, as big and fervent as ever, will be keen to come and cheer on the riders less than a week before the opening ceremony.
Join us in Dinard to experience unforgettable moments and celebrate the excellence of global equestrian sports in the prestigious setting of the Rolex Series. Don't miss this exceptional opportunity and register now for this remarkable event.
