The five-star jumping kicks off on Thursday, 10 July with the Qualification to the Rolex Grand Prix presented by Agria (CSIO5*, 1.50m) at 1PM, followed by the Agria Falsterbo Nations Cup on Friday, 11 July at 2PM — a team showdown that promises fierce rivalry.
Riders will have one final chance to secure their spot in the Grand Prix during the Saturday morning qualifier at 09:00 (CSIO5*, 1.50m), before the weekend culminates in the Rolex Grand Prix presented by Agria (CSIO5*, 1.60m) on Sunday, 13 July at 2PM — the highlight of the show and a key stage of the Rolex Series.
The course designer for this special edition is Frank Rothenberger (GER), assisted by Fredrik Malm (SWE) and Philipp Schwender (GER). Expect a course as technically demanding as it is beautifully built — a true test of horsemanship and precision.
THE WORLD’S BEST HEAD TO SWEDEN
Several of the sport’s most iconic names have already confirmed their participation. Among them:
McLain Ward (USA), Olympic team gold medalist and winner of multiple Rolex Grand Prix titles, including Wellington and La Baule. He won team gold at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and team silver at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.
Kent Farrington (USA), World No. 1 and champion of the Rolex Grand Prix Ville de La Baule 2024.
Karl Cook (USA), known for his technical mastery and recent breakout performances on the international stage. He won the Rolex Grand Prix of Rome in 2024, secured team gold at the 2023 Pan American Games, and added an Olympic team silver at Paris 2024.
Ben Maher (GBR), a consistent contender in Rolex Grand Prix events. In August 2024, Maher added a third Olympic gold to his name with a team victory at the Paris Olympics. He previously won Olympic team gold at London 2012 and individual gold at Tokyo 2020.
Steve Guerdat (SUI), Olympic individual gold medalist at London 2012. In 2024, he took the individual silver medal at the Paris Olympics, further cementing his place among the sport’s greats.
Also joining the line-up: home favorites Henrik von Eckermann, current World No. 3, and Olympic team gold medalist Peder Fredricson — both ready to electrify the Swedish crowd — as well as Sandra Auffarth (GER), who returns to defend her 2024 Falsterbo Grand Prix title, adding even more star power to this historic edition.
With the Rolex Series spotlight now shining on Sweden for the very first time, all eyes will turn to Falsterbo to witness which rider will etch their name into the history of this legendary event.
HENRIK VON ECKERMANN RETURNS HOME WITH ONE GOAL !
"I'm extremely happy that the Rolex Series comes to Sweden and to Falsterbo. I think that Falsterbo is a show with incredible potential — it has tradition, atmosphere, and a fantastic public. With Rolex now on board, I believe the show will get a real upgrade. It’s not just about the jumping; I know there have also been improvements in infrastructure, which elevates the whole experience. It’s going to bring the show to a higher standard.
When you look at the other Rolex Series events, what they all share is a strong audience and deep tradition — something Falsterbo already brings to the table. So I’m really looking forward to coming home, to performing in front of the Swedish crowd. And I think I can speak for my colleagues from other nations too: the Swedish audience is one of the best in the world.
In terms of expectations — this is the one Grand Prix in Sweden I haven’t yet won. I came close once, finishing second when my wife, Janika Sprunger, actually took the victory — quite a few years ago now. So of course, it’s a title I’d love to add to my record. For the Rolex Grand Prix presented by Agria, I’ll be riding Minute Man, who also placed in the Grand Prix Ville de La Baule just a few weeks ago.
Riding on home soil gives you that extra push. I always put pressure on myself to perform — sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t. That’s the nature of sport. But when you’re in front of your own crowd, you feel that extra motivation to deliver. I’ll be doing everything I can to make that happen.
